Hello, I'm Heather. I teach small group SomaYoga classes and offer private sessions in the greater Des Moines area.

I became a yoga teacher because yoga has been life-changing for me, and I want to share what I've learned so that others can benefit it from it, too. I want to dispel the myth that yoga is only for people that are flexible or athletic. That's not true. Yoga is for everyone. It doesn't matter what physical abilities you have.

Today, my practice and teaching approach is primarily SomaYoga which is a blend of Somatics, Therapeutic Yoga & Classic Asana. This modality gives the potential of freeing us from chronic pain, as well as improving physical functioning, mobility, stability and strength.

I'm glad to have you here and eager to share my passion for yoga. Let's work together to learn and grow.
